~ CONCERT VENUES ~

Glasgow has one of the most vibrant entertainment scenes in the world. See below for a list of venues.

concert venues

Top Entertainment Venues include:

Oran Mor

Weddings, private events, bars and dining, it’s what they do. Perhaps what they do best is put on some of the best entertainment in the west end, in the surroundings of a stunning atmospheric building.

The Ovo Hydro

Easily identifiable from a distance, the Ovo Hydro is an iconic building in the heart of the city centre. Everyone and anyone that’s big in the entertainment industry will usually perform here. With a capacity to seat over 14,000 people, the OVO HYDRO in Glasgow may just pop up on your list of “must visits” at some point.

Kelvingrove Bandstand

Summer nights at Kelvingrove Bandstand return in 2023. Only a short walk from the City Apartments, acts including Anastacia, Del Amitri and The Shires are lined up to play. The outdoor art deco bandstand is in Kelvingrove Park, and has amphitheatre style seating and a superb calendar of summer events.

SWG3

Dance, performance, and ‘Bongos Bingo’ are part of a great line up of events happening in 2023. SWG3 is a space to work, play and everything in between. The website is where to go for the most up to date info and booking information.

Smaller/More intimate Venues

Room 2

Room 2
Relatively new on the Glaswegian music scene, it opened in 2019, Room 2 already has quite a following, and has hosted some great acts from Scotland and overseas. Keep an eye out on the club listings for 2023.

La Cheetah Club

La Cheetah Club
Mixmag says La Cheetah Club is “Glasgow’s infamous, intimate basement venue” and they could very well be right. An advocate for local talent they attract the best acts from all over the world of electronic music. Consistently voted as one of its 25 UK Clubs, it really does deliver as a night-time venue.

King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut

King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut
2023 has been a great year so far for King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut. It has won the Ticketmaster award for UK Indie venue of the Year. The 13th Note

The 13th Note
Raw music gigs are best enjoyed here at The 13th Note, where all and any genres of music sessions are happening. Most nights you’ll hear acoustic sets and punk radiating from the building. Oh and the veggie food there is also quite good.

A late night venue in every sense of the word. Open until 3am every night, the evenings only get started here from about 7pm with gigs and clubs run from 11pm until closing time.
