Our three-star residence is ideally placed at the core of Glasgow’s West End, with transport links to all events on our doorstep. You’ll find well-informed staff on hand to help you plan your way around the Championships, and a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day – breakfast is on us if you book before the end of June !
There’s plenty to do just a few minutes’ walk from our apartments but if you feel like an adventure, take a hop skip and a jump (or a walk, subway and train!) to Gleneagles. The famous PGA Centenary Course at the estate will host the golfing championships across it’s challenging 18 holes. Pass through the city centre on your way home and treat yourself to a good dinner after a day in the countryside – try The Dhabba for a North Indian banquet with a cool glass of wine to round the day off.
Back in the city, one of Glasgow’s most splendid sporting venues is the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome nestled in the heart of the restored East End. Take a trip across on the train to be impressed by high-speed track cycling and make sure to grab lunch at the outstanding eatery, Tibo, on Duke Street in between heats. You could even get some of your own fun on two-wheels by hiring a street-bicycle for the journey home. Prices start at just one pound and you can enjoy the scenic route back to our hotel while burning off lunch – bonus!
