Halloween is the epitome of ghostly goings-on. Haunted castles, spooky woodland walks, hair-raising happenings with ghost stories and eerie encounters – Glasgow with its long lasting traditions brings forth an original Halloween fright-fest. However you wish to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve you’ll find an eerie event to suit your tastes just a few minutes from the City Apartments. Glasgow Horror Fest
This unnerving annual happening takes place at the Classic Grand in bustling Charing Cross. The festival is extended across two days – 27th and 28th October, and will be featuring scary, iconic film classics in conjunction with Popcorn Horror, as well as macabre shorts to make you shiver. The fun goes on though! Join the hosts as they take you into STEREO’s boiler room on October 27th for a night of silent movie screenings, dancing and DJ sets. Produced with the help of Scare Scotland, this evening’s entertainment could turn out to be more than a wee bit uncanny. Also, there’s a bunch of alternative horror outings on offer with Big Puppet Theatre Co. Putting on a gruesome live theatre double-bill of screams, with expert makeup artist Taarna Swanson giving you an exclusive demonstration of how these grisly effects are created.

 

Maximum Pressure Halloween 
Sold-out for three years in a row, Maximum Pressure Halloween at one of Glasgow’s most vibrant all-night party venues – SWG3 – returns in 2018. The full line up of acts is still to be announced but Slam have already been announced as show stealers. If you’re into Slam you’ll know to expect bass-heavy, mind bending rhythms. Mix that with a huge throng of party-goers gathered in the warehouse setting and you’re in for a stimulating night!

Forget Me Not Halloween Ball
If you would enjoy a top class evening out that won’t end too late and enables you to raise cash for charity, then gather some friends and go to the Forget Me Not Ball at the Marriott Hotel. This glittering event will present amazing entertainment, a three-course meal, and a bubbly drinks reception all included in the ticket price. It’s certainly going to be a memorable evening, the most fitting part is that all proceeds go directly to the charity Alzheimer Scotland to help them to continue their vital work with those living with the disease!
